Ingrid Pellegrino and the Birth of CokoGel

Ingrid Cristina Pellegrino, a dentist with over 40 years of experience, graduated from the National University of Córdoba. Born in Río Cuarto, Argentina, she moved with her family to a small Patagonian town at age six, growing up surrounded by nature and pure air. From a young age, she was inspired by her mother—also a dentist—to promote oral health. Together they led school programs that dramatically improved the smiles of thousands in their community, sparking Ingrid’s lifelong dedication to well-being.

Throughout her career, Cristina became known for her ethical approach and for using only the highest quality materials. Her passion soon evolved toward natural, sustainable solutions, driven by the belief that true wellness must care for both people and the planet.

In 2011, motivated by her mentors and relentless curiosity, Cristina set out to combine oral care, innovation, and nature. After years of research, she discovered extra virgin coconut oil—rich in lauric, capric, and caprylic acids—as a powerful ingredient with natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. That vision led to DIAMANTE, the first Patagonian brand to incorporate coconut oil imported from Thailand, committed to creating 100% natural products that improve people’s quality of life.

DIAMANTE’s original range included two oral care products and one intimate care formula. Over five consecutive years at Vegan Fest Argentina, the brand gained recognition, validated its formula, and welcomed valuable feedback from wellness-conscious customers.

Building on that momentum, Cristina envisioned a next-generation oral care brand: CokoGel. By refining her original formula with even higher purity, potency, and practicality, she brought to life a new line designed for the whole family. Today, CokoGel stands as a tribute to the ritual of daily brushing—a simple yet powerful act of health, self-care, and love. Future collections with new flavors and formats are already in the works.
